WHAT THE SEASON HOLDS FOR UNITED?

As a united fan you will ask yourself how we got to this place. I mean with Fergie everything was always smooth and just 1 year plus after his retirement look at where we are.
Look back at last season a lot of Man utd fans will be wondering if it was their team that was actually playing or some imposter putting on the red jersey. With fergie retirement we all knew united were to have it difficult but nobody ever thought of them would end the season on 7th position. Yes that a nightmare I am sure all united fans will want to forget but how they will be able to do so remain unknown at least at this point.

After the sack of David Moyes, United appointed Luis Val Gal (LVG) who as at the time of the appointment was at the world cup with the Netherlands where he guided them to a third place victory. With his quality and success as a coach, United fans were happy that they might have finally found the man that will put them out of the David Moyes mystery. But life at Old Trafford hasn't been rosy for LVG who had a successful outing with the boys in orange at the just concluded World Cup, having just 1 point out of a possible 9 isn't the kind of result the United faithful will have hoped for but with the kind of deals United did in the market one can say it only a matter of time before United gets back to their feet. Luke Shaw and Herrera were the first among the new arrival at Old Trafford but till now fans hasn't seen Shaw in action due to an injury he picked up. Herrera too wasn’t able to show much of his quality after getting injured in his first start for the red devils.

United went back to the market and came out with Argentine defender Rojo who hasn't played again also due to work permit. With this united had three summer signing and they were yet to see them in full action. As the transfer window was getting to an end, United again dug into the market and made two biggest moves that shocked almost every football watchers. First the British record signing of Angel Di Maria and the last day loan move for Falcao and in between these deals was also the arrival of Blind. In total United got six new players in a transfer window that has now become untied busiest transfer window. Now with these players we won’t be wrong to say United are aiming for the top but how well will these players blend into the team considering the new formation is another question that we all have to wait for.

If these players can settle down perfectly to the premier league and with the formation of LVG it is only a matter of time before United becomes the most feared team in England. Just like we saw on his first debut, we don’t need to question what Di Maria can bring to the team. His statistics at Madrid alone speaks for itself nor do we have to doubt the goal scoring ability of a fully fitted Falcao , combine this two to the likes of RVP and Rooney you can say United has one of the deadest frontline.

If his reputation at Athletic Bilbao is anything to go by then we know that throwing those killer pass won’t be an issue for Herrera nor is there going to be any doubt about the confidence of Blind considering the performance he put up at the just concluded World Cup, I say United look solid at the middle of the park. Considering the back four or should we say back three like what we have seen so far, United looks like they have it covered. With a certain Phil Jones who has actually been the only solid defender United has played this season joining forces with the two new in signing Shaw who is arguable the most sought after left back in England and Rojo who also had a good outing with Argentine at the world cup though coming in as a substitute you can say United back line might just be as solid as it meant to be.

So with over 150million pounds spent in the transfer united fans will be eager to see the value for their money
