TO THE PRESIDENCY AND THOSE IT MAY CONCERN

Hello people today I want to write on something a little bit different from what I normally do but the fact say na happening matter then I go write am. Yesterday made it 150 days the Chibok girls had gone missing and till this very moment the only thing the Federal Government are telling us is that they are trying their best.
Now to the main reason why am writing this, I would like to advice our President and to those it may concern that the #bringbackourgirls should not be taken for granted or should it be insulted. This hastag is a way in which every well meaning Nigerians are using in lending their voices against the horror that had befallen those girls and a way to show their support in doing whatever it takes to bring them back home. From home to abroad this hastag represent a sign of hope to the parent of those girls, it shows them that Nigerians and surely the rest world can hear their cry and this has given them strength that they are not alone in the struggle but all till this moment majority of these girls are still missing and their parents are still in great pain.

Although I must commend the government for at least having the initiative to take care of those that were fortunate enough to escape by sending them abroad (something I personally welcome) but for them to now start insulting or taking the hastag for granted is something I honestly frown at. I know 2015 is a political year and every politician would be doing whatever they can to gain political power, be it by crook or hook but that doesn't give the Presidency the right to mock me and every other well meaning Nigerians. The hastag #bringbackjonathan2015 SHOULDN'T be the campaign slogan of the Presidency because to me I see it as an INSULT and a MOCKERY to the original hastag #bringbackourgirls and to everybody that was and is still part of the campaign. I also see this as a slap on the faces of those parents that their girls are still missing, a Slap on the faces of every single person that lend their voice to the campaign of #bringbackourgirls, this hastag #bringbackourgirls is in support of those girls they went missing and not the President who by the way is not missing.

The reason why this borders me a lot and why it should bother you too is the message that the government is trying to send to us, with their rubbish hastag they want us to know that they don't care anymore about these girls and that they have done everything in their power to bring them back and they are done doing that. They are telling us it is time to focus on their own agenda and forget about these girls because to them they don't matter at the moment, what matters is how they will get back into power come 2015. They know the power of the hastag and how we youth (most especially) spread such things through the internet that why they decided to come up with their own hastag so we can help them spread it but I want them to know that if it is not the hastag #bringbackourgirls any other hastag with #bringback whatever they put on it, is a MOCKERY and SHOULDN'T be encourage.

Thank you
