Everyone around the world has been waiting for the moment in which Kate gives birth to her second child with Prince William.
The second child, a daughter, was finally born on May 2nd 2015
and she weighed 8 lbs and 3 oz. As expected, the world had to wait just a few
days longer before the name of this new princess was revealed.
On Monday, May 4th, the Royal Officials
announced Princess Charlotte Elizabeth
Diana of Cambridge as the fourth in line for the throne. William and Kate
honored used the name of their baby to honour many people, Charlotte is the
middle name of Kate’s sister, Pippa, and is also a feminine version of the name
Charles, William’s father.
Elizabeth was most likely used to honor her
great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II.
Diana, of course, was added to give honour William’s late mother
