OPEN LETTER TO ERIC AMODU

Dear Mr. Eric, the purpose of this letter is to enlighten you about some issued you raised concerning 2face and the comment he made towards PDP.
First of all, I would like to say that as Nigerians we have the right to criticize our government if we feel they have not performed well enough, 2face is a Nigerian and what he said wasn't out of context in any way, he was only saying his own personal opinion about the country which is allowed.

I am really surprise that someone like you could react to what he said in a very childish and immature manner, you asked some questions that were very childish and also irrelevant to what he said, I mean so what if he doesn’t give back to the society, na bank abi na cooperate organization him be? How the OJB matter take concern the fact say P.D.P don fail Nigerians? Anyway since you have asked those questions then let me provide you some answers so that you can be more enlightened
Question 1: name a single soul you have ever helped?
Answer: to be honest this is a very childish question coming from someone of your caliber, but let me also be childish and ask you "what kind of help are you talking about? Help comes in different ways and it is certain that someone with the status of 2baba must have helped someone through the cause of his life/career because even me way never reach anywhere can't count the number of people I have helped. So asking 2face to name a soul he has helped sound absurd to me because if him start the list go long pass third main land bridge.
Question 2: Why did your fellow childhood friend deserted you?
Answer: There is a Yoruba proverb that says “20 friends cannot play for 20 years” which is true because I can't even remember some of my own childhood friends. Now to answer the second childish question, you can stop been a friend to someone and someone can stop been a friend to you, it is a matter of choice, friendship isn’t something you force on people. The reasons why friends would decide to desert one another varies because the reason why Mr. A left Mr. B would be different from the reason why Mr. C left Mr. A, as human beings we have different opinion, different direction, different attitude and because someone decide to part ways with you doesn't mean you are a bad person. Now let me also ask you my own question, how many of your childhood friend do you still talk to? Let me also point out the fact that you said his friends deserted him, if that is true , isn’t those friends in better position to answer such question? How is he suppose to know their true reason for them deserting him?
Question 3: What have you given back to the society that made you?
Answer: this is the only question I would say has a little bit of technicality in it, the term “Society” can be use to interchangeably in relationship to where someone is from or where he lives. Which of his society are you talking about?  His society as in his home town?  His society as in Festac town? Or his society as in Nigeria?
I would really love to get the answers to those questions so I can know how well to answer you but while I await that let me enlighten you some more. For me and I am sure for everyone else, the society that made 2face (just like you asked) is Festac town cos na from there him blow, and in 2008 he formed a football club named Hypertek FC as a way of connecting to the grass root and to give back to the society, unless of course you don't see that as a way of giving back.
Now let go deeper
Concerning the OJB issue I for one wasn’t happy that 2face didn't help out and it baffled me a lot because I knew he isn't that kind of person. So I took it upon myself to find out why and I discovered that around the period OJB was been treated for his kidney problem, 2face's father was also diagnosed for cancer and like another Yoruba proverb would say “you don't put some else's load on your head and carry your own with your hand”. Although 2face promised he was going to do whatever he could for OJB, for you to say 2face sat back and did nothing to help without knowing what he was also going through aint fair. Furthermore the OJB thing became a media show off as the amount that were been donated became public and that alone got some artiste scared or should I say ashamed of dropping the little they had so the public won't see them as broke.
This might sound childish but since you have asked some of them let me also ask you this “how much did you donate for OJB?
Now to the political money, the one you should have just talked about instead of the irrelevant and immature questions you were asking.
I remember during my university days, in one of the course I did, I was told that a business can be a legal entity meaning that you can separate the owner of the business from the business. Let relate that to government, if Mr. President the ruler of Nigeria decide to give me money base on the services render does it mean that his spending Nigeria’s money on me.  The President earns his salary and also enjoys other benefit so he wouldn’t pay me with the federation money unless the service that was rendered was for the federation.  The President/Governor and The Office of the President/Governor are different entities, unless you have the fact then those people you mentioned paid 2face with their money and not state money.
I like to deal with fact since I am a Factist writer, you said 2face ate the resources of Benue State during Akume's tenure because he bought him a car. Please I would like to see the evidence that says the money that was used in purchasing the car was meant for a particular project. Better still show us a project that was abandoned during that time because they used the money that was allocated for the project to buy a Camry for 2face.
You mention Donald Duke giving him 20million naira just to bring back Plantashun Boiz, abeg shey na only am the reunion benefit? You said Akwa Ibom Governor sponsored his wedding, am guessing you have been misinformed because the sponsorship was actually to honour Annie and not 2face directly. You even went as far as quoting some lines from one of his songs just to prove your point, now let me tell you this, there was a song where he spoke about the shady politicians and how they deceive the people, this song and the song you quoted belong to the same album.
My final message to you is this, are you saying because all these people gave him money and gifts, he shouldn’t say what he feels is right, that he should be criticized for putting himself in the masses shoes and expressing their anger? 2baba said his mind if you have issue with that tackle what is been said and not who is saying it. Thank You
