STRIKE ACTION!!!

After the much awaited announcement of the postponement of the 2015 General Election by INEC, the Boyfriend and Toasters Association of Nigeria (BTAN) have reacted bitterly to the announcement. In a statement that was released in the early hours of today by the Media Officer, the Association they said they are truly disappointed with the decision taken by INEC to shift the Election date from February 14 to March 28.
“It sadden us to hear that INEC has shifted the Election date from February 14 valentine day to March 28 2015 and this is because we under the umbrella of the BTAN have decided to make Nigeria our Val come February 14 by going out to vote and we have also told our Girlfriends and Toastees not to expect any form of gift or outing this year as all the energy and time for buying gifts or planning any outing will go into making sure Nigeria get the right candidate to move her forward. Putting the election on Val day had giving us the perfect opportunity not to celebrate and spend money on Val gifts and Val outing but with the postponement of the election that won’t be possible. Changing the date just a week to the election will not only see us change our plan but might also make some of us loss our Girlfriend and Toastee as the GTAN as threaten a very severe action if we don’t response well to the change made by INEC. “No girl want to hear that there is no money on Val day and since the election was on Val day we saw it as a chance to avoid the usual spending and all that but now that it has been shifted the effect will be very critical on the state of our relationship”. The statement also went further to say “The pressure is now on us as we have been getting numerous calls for the Girlfriend and Toastees Association of Nigeria (GTAN) demanding that they must get their Val gift and Val outing since the election has now been shifted and this is part of the reason why we have decided to embark on a nationwide protest starting from Monday 9^th February 2015”.  When asked what the Association plan to do after the protest the Media Officer responses were simple and short. “Strike, we will have to embark on a strike unless INEC can promise us one thing”.  He said “if INEC can assure our members that they won’t get dumped by their Girlfriend or Toastee if they are not able to come up with anything for Val gift or plan any Val outing for their Girlfriend or Toastee depending on the case then we shall only do the protest to let them know our position concerning the change of date”.

Hafeestonova Konsept was able to confirm the threat issue from a member of the GTAN who pleaded to be anonymous. She said it is true that the GTAN is very happy with the announcement made by INEC and they have promised a showdown with their Boyfriend and Toasters if they don’t comply with the change of date. In her words she said “they have to get us gifts and even take us out since the election has been postpone because we have agreed to dump anyone that comes up with any flimsy excuse”.
