I know all us in Nigeria are still
basking from the euphoria of been declared an EBOLA free country by the World
Health Organization(WHO) even though we have also been warned that without the
continuous precautionary measure the deadly virus might just return back to the
country. Before I actually go into what I intend to talk about I will like to
appreciate those people that made sure this virus didn’t totally ruin our
country like it has done in some West African countries. No other person
deserves my praise more than the late DR Stella Adadevoh a brave and strong
woman who gave her life to fight this virus, May her soul rest in peace (amen)
I know most of you know what EBOLA
is but let me just give us a proper definition; Ebola is a disease of humans and other primates
caused by Ebola viruses.
The virus spreads by direct contact with blood or other body fluids
of an infected human or other animal. The disease has a high risk of death,
killing between 25 percent and 90 percent of those infected with the virus,
averaging out at 50 percent and with what has happened in Nigeria and what is
currently going on with some other West African countries we can boldly see
that this virus is a killer disease.
Now let me explain to you what is
baffling me about this killer disease, according to research the first outbreak
of this disease was in Sudan in 1976 and it affected 284 people which 151 died,
this means that a total number of 97 people were able to survive the virus.
The second major outbreak occurred in Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of the Congo)
in 1995, affecting 315 and killing 254. The next major outbreak occurred in Uganda in 2000,
affecting 425 and killing 224. In 2003 there was an outbreak in the Republic of the Congo that affected 143
and killed 128, a death rate of 90 percent, the highest to date. Between
April and August 2007 in the Democratic Republic of the Congo there
was another outbreak that eventually affected 264 individuals and resulted in
the deaths of 187. Now let me quickly point something out for you and
asked you some questions, take a look at the interval between the period of the
first outbreak and the other outbreaks, what did you notice? After the first
major outbreak it took 19 years for the second major outbreak to be recorded. 5
years later the next major outbreak was recorded and 3 years later another
major outbreak was recorded. Now my question is how come it took 19 years after
the first major outbreak before another outbreak was recorded and it only took
an interval of 5years, 3years and 7years respectively before the next major
outbreaks were recorded? I mean what were they able to do that prevented this
disease from occurring for 19 years that they couldn’t do for another 19years
after the second outbreak? Left to me I would say someone decided to spread the
virus to reduce the world population a little (I shall explain this further)
and am saying this base on the fact that in 2004 a Russian scientist died from
Ebola after sticking herself with an infected needle. Now
ask yourself why stick yourself with an infected needle when it was clearly
stated that part of what caused the spread of the second outbreak was the fact
that the “Belgian nuns had inadvertently started the epidemic by giving
unnecessary vitamin injections to pregnant women, without sterilizing the
syringes and needles”. Now let fast forward to 2014 and the major outbreaks and
how the world reacted to it. In March 2014, the World Health Organization (WHO)
reported a major Ebola outbreak in Guinea were it was said that researchers traced the outbreak
to a two-year old child who died December 2013. The disease then rapidly spread
to the neighboring countries of Liberia and Sierra Leone. It is the largest Ebola outbreak
ever documented, and the first recorded in the region. By late August the virus
got into Nigeria when late Mr. Patrick Sawyer reported sneaked into the
country. I was glad that Nigeria didn’t record much death from this
disease I think according to report the total death wasn’t up to thirty and
this was due to the way the health system was able to tackle it.
Now to the bone of contention, I
said earlier that I think this Ebola virus was used for population control and
I stated the reason for that. Now am still going to revisit that thought and
would say that I honestly think that the current outbreak of Ebola virus was as
a form of population control by the WHO. We all know how this virus transfer or
should I say transmit from human to human, but what I don’t understand is how
did the virus get into the two year old baby that was reported to have been the
source of the major outbreak in 2014. If the virus can only be spread by direct
contact with someone that is acutely and greatly sick from the virus then that
only means that that baby must have come in contact with someone that was sick
from the virus and the most likely person would have been the mother which
nothing was said about. What WHO has refuse to tell us is how the initial
people that got this virus contracted it, expect from the man that was said to
have visited the Ebola River during the 1970s I don’t think we were told how
the spreader from the other outbreak got infected. Still on why I think this
Ebola virus is a way of population control was the fact that I was reading a
book by Dan Brown, in there was a mention of the fact that Ebola was
transported to America using a canister, then I quickly thought if this virus
can be transported what is the assurance that it can’t be released into human
at least someone did it in 2004 but that is not where am even going to. In this
same book (inferno) by Dan Brown, a man was advising the WHO that something
needs to be done to the increasing growth of the world population. He claimed
that at the rate in which the population of the world is increasing that it
will only take a matter of time before the human race will go extinct. He said
WHO should take a drastic measure like causing a global epidemic that will
ensure the reduction in world population. He had a lot of reason behind is
theory but am not going to going into that instead I will just ask what if this
Ebola virus was just a trail of the global epidemic outbreak that WHO might be
planning? On 8 August 2014, the WHO declared the epidemic to be an
international public health emergency urging the world to offer aid to the
affected regions. With this statement it is clear that Ebola is not an African
disease but a global disease has it as spread from Africa to other part of the
world. Though I really can’t remember where exactly I came across this
but I know it was somewhere on the net, someone accused the relief team that
was sent to some west African countries of not providing the necessary material
instead the person said they were giving an injection that was spreading the
virus so as to be able to paralyze the country and steal their mineral
resource. Another thing that is making me suggesting that this Ebola virus
could be a test run of how to control world population was the comment America
singer Chris brown made on his page about the virus he said and I coat “I don’t know…..but I think this Ebola
epidemic is a form of population control. Shit is getting crazy bruh”. Not
up to an hour he deleted this tweet and only God knows why.
Growth in world population has been
a major problem facing the WHO and tackling it has been something they have
been walking on but what if just like the man in Dan Brown novel said that a
global epidemic will be the best solution to this problem and maybe the World
Health Organization are trying to test out his theories or what if they have
even started trying out his theories and Ebola virus is just a test run to see
how fast and how rapid the effect could take place? Although as at 2nd
of November 2014 the total suspected case that has been reported are 13,042 and
4,818 deaths however the WHO has said that these numbers may be vastly
underestimated. So people I suggest we should all be on the lookout because
Ebola might just be the beginning.
